All very early vicars – glimpses of them recorded in some sort of court or registry record, on a specific date – no start and end dates.
•William – court records from Eyre of Sussex 1278 being sued for the return of land previously owned by a dead relative
•Roger de Wole being sued for a debt – 1293
•Ralph, accused of unlawfully withholding land in the 1325 Eyre court of Sussex
•Robert Beneit, mentioned in an age estimation relating to 1336
•Ranulph Lessorle mentioned as being too poor to lose his land in the Close Roll of 27 July 1337
